Guide
Effect.
The effect tags on buxbeans help you choose the cannabis seeds most likely to give you the effect you like.
Effect tags (relaxed, uplifted, sleepy, creative) say how seed brands and shops describe the high. They point you in a direction. They're not a guarantee that what you grow from these seeds will have that effect too.
What influences the effect
- The seeds: the genetics you grow set how high or stoned the effect can be: THC and the indica/sativa split give a first hint.
- Your grow: light, feeding and stress influence what the plant makes.
- Harvest, drying and curing: when you cut it, and how carefully you dry and store it.
- How you consume it: smoked, vaped or eaten can feel like different plants.
- What else: tobacco, alcohol or anything else you mix with it changes the effect.
- You: tolerance, body, mood and setting.
How far to trust it
Seed brands and shops describe effects in their own words: "euphoric", "couch-lock", "happy". We map those words onto a few plain tags so you can compare seed products. We take the seed brand's words first, and a shop's when the brand gives none. A brand's tag describes its best results: it's what the brand hopes you'll feel too. We don't make health claims about effects, and we don't repeat them.
Using the effect tags
Use effect tags to choose a direction you like. How you grow the seeds, cure the harvest and consume it decides the effect you end up with.
